10 on the 10th

I've come across several photography blogs that suggest challenging yourself to post ten photos on the 10th of the month.  I figured I'd give it a try.  These are various shots I've taken over the last few weeks that never made it on the blog until now.
^^Bryn and I have had SO many Starbucks breakfasts this summer^^
^^My favorite hat.  It's Billabong and came from Dubai Mall...I've gotten so many compliments on it!
^^I'm really missing Japan lately, so we whipped up a homemade izakaya style dinner with some of our favorites.
^^I used Sculpey oven bake clay to make paua shell inspired dishes to put my jewelry and bobby pins in (way cuter than the ugly brown clay bowl I made in elementary school art class!)
^^Houmas House...a cold glass of iced tea would be so good in the shade of that tree!
^^Crayfish etoufee at the Crescent City Brew Pub in New Orleans...very worth the hefty price tag (I practically licked the plate clean)!
^^Details in the New Orleans French Quarter

I'm back at work full time today.  The students won't come until next week, but the teachers are all busy getting ready for the school year.  Bryn is heading the New Orleans to catch a flight back to the UAE first thing in the morning (with a cheeky business class ticket, no less!)  Fingers crossed, if everything goes smoothly with immigration he'll be back around the new year for good!

We've had a nice summer.  Most of it was pretty quiet and uneventful, but those kind of holidays are good sometimes.

I hope you're enjoying your last few days of summer (or maybe you're about to have your holiday if you're a parent and your kids are about to head back to school!)
