Here's a little peek into this past weekend...
^^We spent Saturday morning at Five Rivers watching Dragon Boat races. It was HOT!
^^I spent most of Saturday afternoon locked out of the house. Mom and dad had gone to Louisiana to visit my brother, sister-in-law and nephew. I went to the store to get something for dinner and the power went out (grocery stores are pitch black when the power goes out!). I guess the store had generators, because the lights came right back on so I paid and came home, only to find that the garage would not open. That was at about 4pm. I sat down by the pool and read my book, no problem. Four hours later, the power was still out, so I went across town to get a spare key from my uncle. I made my dinner (Kraft macaroni and cheese dinner) in the dark, with a flashlight tucked under my chin and lighting the stove with a match. Finally, around 9pm the lights came back on. Needless to say first thing Sunday morning I went and had a key made for myself! I will not be locked out again!
^^Sunday was a pretty lazy day...other than getting a new key made, I did some "baking" and played with my early birthday present from Bryn (a new Kindle to replace my slowly dying one).
