Salted Brown Butter Rice Krispy Treats

This is by no means an original recipe - just one that I had heard mention of and it sounded good, so I thought I'd give it a try.  As I suspected, they were VERY good, so I thought I'd blog about it!  
I used Smitten Kitchen's recipe, although they are so easy you don't really need a recipe!  Just double the butter called for on the box (yep, we're using a whole stick!) and cook it to the edge...when it starts to become brown.  You'll know your butter is ready when it looks very clear, but little brown bits are starting to form.  The salt might be the kicker here for me, but I love sweet-salty combinations (salted chocolate, salted caramel...yum).  
They are your good old Rice Krispy Treats, only better.  Super rich from the extra butter and with that little bit of salt to cut through the super-sweet marshmallows.  Give 'em a try!
