Autumn Reading

I enjoyed sharing the books I planned to read over the summer vacation in this post.  I don't know if anyone other than my mom actually found it helpful, but I know I'm always on the lookout for a new book to read, so maybe someone else might be, too!  Here are some of the books I'm loading onto my Kindle to read this fall.

The Fortune Hunter by Daisy Goodwin.   If it is anything like The American Heiress, also by Goodwin (which I finished last night, by the way) I'll be pleased.  I like Downton Abbey and anything vaguely historic and these books seem to fit right into that category.

Song of the Spirits by Sarah Lark.  This is second book in the Land of the Long White Cloud saga that I started over the summer.  I'll admit, I had to start the first book twice (I just wasn't feeling it the first go around) but once I got into it I couldn't put it down!  It takes place in newly founded New Zealand, and since I'm married to a Kiwi I figure it's only right that I read it.  I can't wait to see how this story continues.

Shopaholic to the Stars by Sophie Kinsella.  Sophie Kinsella can do no wrong in my eyes.  I love all of her books, especially the Shopaholic series.  They tend to make me laugh out loud, so I am anxiously awaiting the release of this one in October.

The Paper Magician by Charlie M. Holmberg.  I have to admit, I am solely judging this book by it's cover (we all do it).  I'm crossing my fingers it will be a little like The Night Circus, which is one of my favorite books.  Don't worry - I won't hold my breath.  It's the first of a series, so I really do hope it's good!

I'm sure there will also be a few $.99 chick lits in there as well, but I think this is a pretty good list to tackle over the next few months!

If you have read any of these, let me know what you thought!  Also, I'm always up for a book recommendation, so recommend away.

Happy reading!
